Anna Velzo is principal oboe with the New Millennium Orchestra. She is a member of the International Chamber Artists, and has performed with Fifth House Ensemble, International Contemporary Ensemble, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and the renowned St Barth Music Festival in the French West Indies. Anna released her debut album
Escale in September 2010, and is known for her innovative classical projects as well as collaborations with artists from other genres such as electronic, blues, and indie rock. She attended the Manhattan School of Music and DePaul University. While studying in New York she founded and led the world music group, Anna and the Post Road Band. Her principal teachers include Alex Klein, Joseph Robinson, and Bob Morgan.
